Hacken & Galka Families

A brother of Carolina and Maria named Wilhelm Galka (born in Grossgardienen, East Prussia) is the ancestral forefather of relatives in and near Essen, Germany (with surnames like Altmann, Hanf, Monyezi, Kriegs). 

Emma Jakowski Galka (born 1880 in Mörken, East Prussia) had become Wilhelm Galka's wife in 1903.

This is the last picture we have of Wilhelm Galka, who died that year. 

Wilhelm Galka gave his daughter the same name as his sister, Maria.  She married Kurt Altmann in 1930 and bore two daughters, Charlotte and Elisabeth (Liesl).

Kurt Altmann, the husband of Wilhelm Galka's daughter, Maria Galka, was the father of Charlotte and Liesl.  This picture was taken in 1930, the year of Kurt and Maria were married.

Charlotte Hanf, here with her husband Dieter at Wolfgangsee, was one of Wilhelm Galka's two granddaughters.
