6 December 1979 Christmas card from Ella Klauss née Scheffler English Translation
[Front:]
A lovely Christmas festival and
A Successful
And Happy New Year ...
[Inside:]
I wish for you, dear Nephi, as well as Leola, as well as your daughter, if she is still living with you.
Cousin Ella
Meanwhile another year has passed. I hope that all of you are doing somewhat well healthwise. In the middle of this year I had written you a letter, sending along the death certificate of Aunt Emilie -- she was the half-sister of your dear mother -- and also a picture of my mother. I hope you got the letter.
Healthwise it isn't going particularly well for me this year. Right now I'm having trouble with my eyes. On January 2, 1980, I'm supposed to go into an eye clinic for a few days to have them tested. With age, alll kinds of possible aches and pains creep in.
Heartiest greetings to you all
from Ella
